Random Scouse facts~

To, let's say make people make more comfortable about certain people/roots   (lol how vague)

Facts about Liverpool (and its people)

- A lot of the Scousers currently living in Liverpool have Irish anchestry (Most of the Beatles have/had Irish anchestry/roots)

"The Irish population in England grew gradually through the 19th century. Many poor labourers, drovers and artisans emigrated due to economic reasons. They weren't the only ones, however. Middle class Irish moved in and made their mark on the history of Liverpool ... etc ...

"Many immigrants saw Liverpool as a stepping stone on their way to the United States; however a large number ended up staying on, making their homes in Liverpool."

"Liverpool just might not be the place it is today without the influence of the great Irish migration. The impact of the Irish on the city as a whole can still be felt today. After all, a couple of the most famous fellows to come out of Liverpool - Lennon and McCartney - do carry Irish surnames."

- Liverpool is home to Britain's oldest Black community.

- Since the 20th century, Liverpool is also noted for its large African-Caribbean, Ghanaian, and Somali communities, formed of more recent African-descended immigrants and their subsequent generations.

- The city is home to the oldest Chinese community in Europe; the first residents of the city's Chinatown arrived as seamen in the 19th century. The traditional Chinese gateway erected in Liverpool's Chinatown is the largest gateway outside of China.

- Liverpool also has a long-standing Filipino community.

- The city is also known for its large Irish population and its historically large Welsh population

- Liverpool contains: 2 cathedrals, several synagogues

- The city has the earliest mosque of England

- Liverpool has a Hindu community

AND OKAY, THIS IS TOTALLY RANDOM BUT I believe this is a fact as well:
- Many people (not just Paul McCartney, who happens to be a Scouser himself) say that the people are known to be friendly. They're the kind of people you won't easily forget (and okay, that may sound creepy but they are refering to the fact that Scousers are open and very kind to strangers/tourists)

The only problem is that you can't understand their friendly words because they speak Scouse ...
